    I cant tell if op is just trolling or really so blind with hate they can’t perceive the difference between an ally and an opponent.

    Would not be the first time I encounter examples of the second on lemmy.

    Fuck multibillion dollar companies of any kind anyway and always. But if op replies to this message I recommend using that reply to judge wether to block them or not.

    Facing toxicity from supposed allies isnt going to help the fight against corporate toxicity.

      I mean, I can tell the difference between allies and opponents quite easily. Allies are against Nintendo. Opponents support Nintendo. It’s as simple as that.

        What if they are against Nitendo but still have a twitter/facebook/google/microsoft account.

        Or watch the new harry potter series?

        Or eat industrial killed animals?

        Or support a different football team?

        Or have yet to condemn Israel for genocide?

        Half the people you harassed agree with your point but just not with your behaviour. Which you allocate to them disagreeing with your point. Just saying.

            Maybe harassing is to much of a word, sorry for that. But i see you shout the same sentence in all caps to pretty much anyone here, while some of them do seem to agree with your message.

            You also portray a very black and white version on things. Either they are pro or against with no middle ground allowed.

            You agreed with the piracy stance (so do i) but that should leave an opening where people can enjoy and play those pirated games without you having a problem with them.

            This implies your actual point is that giving nitendo money is wrong but that otherwise your cool with them talking and liking these games.

            If that is your point, it wasn’t articulated very well. You could interpret talking about the games at all as giving free promotional material. But just cause i would mention a nice steak i enjoyed does not mean i am not opposed to the animal killing complex. And i paid for that steak.

            Real life is nuanced, and you seem to leave little room for that. That can be ok in some contexts, but is something to be aware about before caps locking at people.

              But if I go too easy on people, it tells them “It’s okay to support evil, fun-hating bad guys who love to bully their fans and ruin the industry.” And it’s bad enough that people are willing to fund this. But it’s also SO FRUSTRATING when people DEFEND Nintendo like they’re unpaid PR. What would they have to gain from this if Nintendo WASN’T paying them to lie?! Seriously, the mental gymnastics people use to defend Nintendo with is insane!

              “Erm- akchewally, Nintendo charging $80 for worse versions of better games that you can’t even own is morally correct. I studied economics PURELY for the reason of defending $80 games! Being against any evil thing Nintendo does is entitled. You should be more grateful for unlikeable villains.”

              And they way they PRETEND that we’re the “quit having fun” people, when it’s actually Nintendo and their SHILLS who are anti-fun, not us!

                I dont know many people like that.

                Most people on lemmy are anti-capitalist. Thats i believe one of the reasons they are here at all and not on reddit for example.

                I get what your saying about it being frustrating but it does very much seem like being to hard on people pushes them away, leaving you with little allies to help argue in your favor.

                I was seriously expecting you to start raging against me also.

                I am positively surprised you didn’t and very much appreciate having kept it civil. Thank you for showing us this side of you. It really does help in order to appreciate your thoughts.

                  Funny thing is, I’m actually banned from Reddit. And I’m used to having to argue with shills to the point where I couldn’t trust anyone.

                  It’s so cathartic that Lemmy isn’t nearly as stupid as Reddit is. Perhaps I shouldn’t have lashed out like I did.

            The thing about sarcasm is there needs to be an exaggeration. What you’re doing isn’t an exaggeration. It’s actually very normal crazy-person behavior.

            If you wanted to be exaggerating you would need to mix it up a bit, maybe be funny. Something like “I KNEW YOU SUCKED NINTENDO’S BALLS EVERY THURSDAY NIGHT” (it’s funny because it’s so specific). or “YES CORPORATE DADDY, MISTREAT ME, I’M A BAAAAAD CONSUMER” (it’s funny because it makes explicit the dom/sub behavior of the idiot consumer and a horrible corporation).

            But what’s more likely, and sadly common, is you’re being called out for behaving like an idiot and you’re saying " I was just joking bro. Can’t you take a joke" to try and save face. And that’s so played out that it’s even more embarrassing.

    Considering how actively hostile and litigious Nintendo has been against:

    • Right to repair
    • Game preservation
    • Emulation
    • Modding
    • Fan created content (games, art, music, etc)

    … it’s fair to say that giving them money is actively funding the erosion of these things.
