Unlike twitter its hard to create a good subscription feed on reddit. I was ruling my timeline with an iron fist, blocking and muting thousands of accounts and at the end I still had an active feed of content. If you try that on reddit you get an empty page real quick. So I think people are more lenient on twitter because they associate it with their heavily curated niche, not the ‘hivemind.’
