I like Staavy but I’m gonna be real, his performance in Bugonia was mid at best. Maybe it was just more apparent next to Stone, Delbis and Plemmons popping off and acting their asses off, but it felt a bit awkward to me.
Then again, his character in it is an awkward creep cop so maybe the awkwardness was fully intentional

I think it worked well for this movie but yeah he himself said he wasn’t really acting so much as playing the part.
Which is also true for a few much more successful and much less interesting actors, to be fair.
