Reporting for service :)
Was on Reddit for 15 years, started in newsgroups, then Digg, then Reddit had nearly 400k karma. Nuked my account with redact and closed it. To be honest it really hurt, I will miss, do miss my communities.I was really active on several, contributed contend, links, posts and made friends.
I feel a bit lost and sad, but it is also exiting to be part of something new and fresh, so hopefully here’s to new beginnings.
Another 15 year veteran of Reddit. Same path, newsgroups, Digg, then Reddit. I don’t have quite as much karma but I never did give much credence to virtual recognition, since it doesn’t mean much in the real world. Reddit was already getting too big and too moderated for me but it did have some niche subs that would be hard to find elsewhere. I bailed on Facebook years ago and Twitter just recently, still working on getting out of the Redditverse though.

Hail and we’ll met, fellow Usenet veteran! The fediverse organization reminds me most of Usenet.
