Just watched the 1st couple of episodes of Pluribus.
Didn’t really know what to expect going in as a quick search only gave a very threadbare synopsis.
It’s a bit different then I thought it would be based on that synopsis, but I think I like what it is even more than if it was closer to what I was thinking.
If you’re a fan of Vince Gilligan you’ll probably enjoy this a lot.
It’s a good mix of seriousness and dark humor with a nice dash of oddness thrown in.
Slow Horses S05 dropped and I just watched the first episode, still quite a nice show.
I started Heweliusz too but it’s too intense for me. A very good show, just not when you want to unwind.
Took a break from voyager to watch lower decks, I was a little skeptical about vibing with the humor but it’s been really good so far, just finished season 2.
My recommendations are Simpsons Halloween specials, Lower Decks, and Legion
I’d saved up the first four episodes of The Chair Company and watched those last night, which is turning out to be more of a wild ride than its name might immediately suggest.
I got into Shameless after watching The Bear because of the cast. It was also interesting to see the guy from the Jedi games as a tv show actor.
If you’re going to give it a go, be aware it has some pretty adult themes as well as graphical sex and violence.
Something else on the list for me is the last couple of episodes of Slow Horses. I wanna try Dept. Q after that but I’m afraid it’s gonna be a letdown after Slow Horses.
Dept Q is not as farcical as Slow Horses is. It is quite good.
+1 for Shameless. Frank is one of the best most broken characters on TV.
I haven’t seen Slow Horses, but Dept Q was phenomenal. Reminded me of Luther with a bit of Broadchurch.
Oh nice. I was impressed with both those shows. I can really recommend Slow Horses, I am currently reading the first book and the show stays super close to the book. Also Gary Oldman is excellent as Jackson Lamb.
I liked both as well.
Slow Horses is decent but Dept Q was far better, I can’t see it being a let down.
The Pitt - Medical ER realism drama. Quite well done.
Still Game - Scottish alcohol based comedy. (Turn subtitles on if ye cannae ken Scots’ patter.) Pranks & japes.
watched last seasons american horror story. can’t say anything great about it. Its one of those things were we are almost watching it because of how good it used to be. Also picking up archer from the last season I saw which honestly I had a bit of a problem pinpointing so started after waking from the coma. What can I say always great. tempted to start from first season once I get to the end of the last episode… oh then the stange and noyle magic in georgian england which I watched like one episode but very interesting. various animes to and im increasingly watching slice of life ones. mostly because they are available free but they are growing on me.
Doing a rewatch of Mandalorian season 1 currently
The last frontier - im actually kind of on the fence with this one. It’s good, but just feels slightly off. Almost like it’s a mishmash of shows.
The opening theme feels like it should be from something like a 90’s procedural while the show itself is more like a poor man’s Banshee with a more nonsensical story, worse action sequences, and zero nudity (lol).
Finally got around to watching Daredevil: Born Again. Really enjoyed it. Fight scenes as great as ever.
We started Lovecraft. Only in episode 4, but it’s been fun. Also, enjoying Ballard.
Alice in Borderland season 3 came out like a month or two ago. I’ve been watching it with a friend and rewatching the first 2 seasons with my partner.
Thought I’d check out “Death by Lightning”
The third season of Star Wars Visions is out, and it’s back to its Japanese roots. The studios really outdid themselves. The sequel to The Dual should win several awards.
There’s also a sequel to The Ninth Jedi from the first season, which is also excellent. And that one is also getting a whole series later on.
