    Canada ignores and discards any agreement it makes the moment it inconveniences them. There is no negotiating with people who have no interest in cooperation.

        I’m not siding with anyone. But if there’s money to be made, they might aswell try to earn the piece of the pie.

          “Earn.” It’s their land and the state is trying to mine it without compensation, this is them making money on it and the state trying to muscle them out. Even if they didn’t want to mine it or take part in mining it, it’s their land undeniably under Canadian law and you don’t have a fucking thing to say about it.

          You’re happy about the government being allowed to just ignore any agreements or legal protections it has agreed to? You’d bend over and kiss boots when the government comes to your house, doormat? Why don’t you go spend time with your kids while you can before they cut you off.
