Hey all! After countless sneakers going bad on me, I’m trying to look inside of the vast world of vegan boots. Do you know of any brands and their quality? Right now I’m looking mostly at:
- Nae Vegan, based in Portugal
- Vegetarian Shoes, based in UK
- Vegan Shoes Italy, based in… Italy (lol)
All these have decent-looking options, but I can’t find much info online about quality. Any tips appreciated!
vivobarefoot.com is where I look first.
A wild card might be military surplus as there’s non leather options that will be ludicrously tough and even cheap. Not necessarily ergonomic, though. YMMV.
Doc Marten’s vegan boots are neat and last a long time. I had a pair of canvas ones like in the picture I would recommend

Doc Marten auality has apparently absolutely plummeted info the ground the past decade. Like, they only last a year or two now apparently before falling apart.
I will admit I bought them about that long ago. They did last me about 5 years though. Makes sense that they’ve become more commercial, especially being made abroad.
Op requested made in eu/uk. DM is not
Ahh I know it’s a UK brand, didn’t realize it wasn’t made there! Thanks
Check out Will’s Vegan Store. They have some great shoes and boots!
Edit: Oops. Sorry, I misread. I don’t know anything about the other brands you listed.
i only have experience with vegetarian shoes, but they are great. bought my first pair around 1999-2000 sometime and maybe gone through 15 pairs of different models.
edit: spelling
