        Ooooh, I never would have thought. We do use a horse-related word for the sawhorse in my language, but had never encountered it in English until now.

        In my mind, the joke was kind of more abstract:

        “the seahorse looks tense now because it’s alive”, “the wood horse is technically dead so it’s no longer tense” (of course, if I think about it more, it makes no sense because the sawhorse is hard and therefore “tense”…)
