People pay the beast that keeps them in chains. Because the truth is so surreal nobody wants to admit or confront the problem. And that’s understandable, but it’s not going to make genuine honest change until people learn to stomach that harsh reality. That personal battle is probably harder than what would come after coming to terms with that truth.
Real change would require extreme sacrifices of the privileges people have become addicted to. Real change won’t be fun. The choice is there, the cage is open, but people don’t leave because outside the cage is the raw reality of the human experience. We aren’t even playing the same game as “them” if we stay in the cage.
