I’m in a minority, but I enjoyed the soft reboot that was season 9. Maube it was because I saw it years later, or maybe I mentally divorced it from the main series, but I think it could have stood given a bit more time.
I think it would have done much better had it been a true spin off from scrubs as originally planned, instead of some silly studio decision to make it series 9.
There was legs for something, but it wasn’t “scrubs”.
I genuinely liked Season 9 🤷♀️ Like, I get the hate from people who thought it was going to he literally more of the same show and felt bait and switched, but frankly I think it would have been worse if they’d tried to carry on doing the same thing as though all the character development hadn’t happened. And I think it stands as a good soft reboot following a new group of med students with different but familiar problems and seeing our original cast fall into a mentor role.
Same. I liked s9. I can get why people didn’t like it at much but I don’t think it was as bad as people make it out to be. I had some genuine laughs in that show and think it would’ve gotten better over time once they found their footing.
Iirc it was originally supposed to be a new spin off show, but the suits got involved and forced them to make it “season 9” because they thought no one would watch it otherwise.
Please don’t let it be shit.
Season 8 ended perfectly (there is no season 9).
How you come back so long later and keep it fresh, I don’t know. I just hope they can pull it off.

King of the Hill pulled it off, so 🤞
