Okay, that’s cool. I habitually refer to it as the “Great Patriotic War” because I like using the Soviet terms for things anytime that doing so will piss off Western libs, but “World Antifascist War” is a more accurate and way cooler term.
The two are not mutually exclusive. Great Patriotic War can just be the designation for the Soviet front of the World Antifascist War.
I found that to be ironic too. I think it is in reference to the military parade that China had 2 weeks ago. Trump complained that he was not invited like other country leaders.

The Chinese government respects the wishes of the company in question, and would be happy to see productive commercial negotiations in keeping with market rules lead to a solution that complies with China’s laws and regulations and takes into account the interests of both sides. The U.S. side needs to provide an open, fair and non-discriminatory environment for Chinese investors.

He’s a pathological liar about most things, but especially about deals. I think he thinks it’s a tactic? Like you just have a basic conversation, then come out and say “We came to an agreement where I got everything I want”. I guess he thinks people will be embarrassed or take heat for saying “no we didn’t”?
Incorrect information getting into the media ended East Germany with the fall of the Berlin Wall. It creates problems that I guess he thinks benefit him. Either the other side doesn’t oppose what is said in the media and he gets what he wants, or they concede some of it and move closer to what he wants, or they oppose it and the agreement of the meeting stays the same.
Seems like 2 winning outcomes and 1 neutral outcome to me. What’re the other side gonna do? Throw a tantrum about it and cancel everything that was said? They never do, they always just put it down to how he is and accept it’s part of dealing with him.
