In addition to second-degree murder, Mangione will be tried in state court on two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, four counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, one count of criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree and one count of criminal possession of a forged instrument in the second degree.

    Dropped it because it was 100% going to spoil the entire jury trial and get him off. Not sure this is going to be enough for a jury to get him, but it’ll help the prosecutor’s case at least.

      Yeah, some comrades of mine charged with terrorism (different jurisdiction but works similarly) experienced the same thing, the threshold for terrorism in most places is extremely high so anyone charging anyone with terrorism for non terrorism is really shooting themselves in the foot, especially since it’s normally done against people who are already politically sympathetic in terms of how the jury is likely to see them.
