I have seen entire companies that are functionally Google subsidiaries without even knowing it. Businesses that manufacture and sell products, or deliver services, but give more to Google Ads than they take for themselves, if they even turn a profit. I have seen ads professionals entrenching themselves at companies for a decade as they actively sabotage all of the company’s revenue streams other than Google Ads

Did you know that facebook, the second largest ad company in the world, has 5 completely different ads purchasing back end interfaces that routinely, routinely do not work and constantly break and have to be refreshed and spit out broken data because the company absolutely, positively could not give a shit about the functionality of its ad platform because businesses have no other option. Oh and they were caught just straight up multiplying view counts by 5x to literally every customer, and they still just… They still exist. Literal worldwide fraud, it was like 5 years ago.
