I’ve always struggled with depression but had it really well managed for several years. I thought I’d cracked the code. But I’m going through perimenopause now and everything feels so… flat. I know it’s not helping that I’ve fallen out of all my good habits that help the depression, but all of those things just feel so much harder than they did a few years ago. I’m so dang tired all the time.

Anyone else relate?

Yes, I can relate! It’s so awful. I have no energy and my depression, which up until recently had been pretty much under control, has gotten worse. A lot of the time I feel partly sad, partly angry, and partly defeated. And so fucking tired.

I started progesterone in June and will be starting estrogen in September. From what I hear, estrogen should make a huge difference in energy level, body aches, and mental state. Are you on HRT?

I hope things improve for you. Peri sucks and if you need someone to commiserate with, I’m here 🤍
