IIRC that’s how my parents quit ages ago. I don’t recall if they stopped when my mom got pregnant or when they started trying to get pregnant. Either way, my dad also quit out of solidarity/responsibility at the same time, both cold turkey. Probably having someone else there who can empathize and keep you accountable is a good way to do it. Maybe find a friend who wants to quit too and do it together?
