Senior law enforcement officials said the LASD bomb squad responded to a garage in Santa Monica yesterday, where at least one grenade was found. It was transported to the training facility, where the deputies were working to render it safe, and the explosion occurred.

    So these brain geniuses find a grenade, decide to render it “safe” and then blow themselves up in the process

    I thought the way to render these things safe is to blow them up at a distance but i guess these guys were the experts, not me do-not-do-this

      They ‘rendered safe’ like 40 lbs of homemmade fireworks and blew up an entire residential LA street a few years ago, so I’m glad they decided to take it to pig school before they did it this time
