literally everything I was told ten years ago about how this was gonna go down is how it is going down. stopped watch and all, I know, but still. it’s just very surreal to see it so fucking obvious, so very soon.

It’s not new though. They did it during the McCarthy era.
I don’t mean to imply this isn’t bad, but hasn’t the legal precedent for over a decade been that the president can order anyone killed in the interest of national security without any sort of judicial review? If they can just kill citizens with drone strikes then “citizenship” doesn’t really mean that much.
