Tournament Highlights

• (If you are curious about The One Ring’s impact in Modern, go check out my post from yesterday!)

• Living Ent! The winner is azatoyellow on Living End! Foregoing Oliphaunt and instead only playing Generous Ent in this build!

• ArgentumSky is our runner-up and played RW Convoke! The Modern-turned-Pioneer-turned-back-to-Modern deck is back, is Legacy next? First sighting of Flowering of the White Tree!

• The\_Bza was on Jeskai Control with Kaheera. It might have been an accessibility issue, but this deck kinda looks like The One Ring would be great in!

• BaDzIo was on Hardened Scales. We are seeing a comeback of Artifact decks huh

• DethFrmAbove was on BR Grief. Playing the Orcish Bowmasters, which seems quite good in a The One Ring metagame! And Mount Doom for good measure!

• billsive was on Abzan Asmo. Playing the hot new combo card Samwise Gamgee! Can you identify the three card combo?

• LaturatheLucis was on Living End. This one playing Oliphaunt!

• Folero rounds out our T8 with Golos Tron with Jegantha! No rings in sight, but it is playing hot card Wandering Archaic!

• In the rest of the 8-2 bracket, I spy katuo079595 on 5c Creativity with the new card Reprive! It’s probably easier on the W splash with it now! There’s also SpicyLeche and Xerk on BG Yawgmoth playing the new cards Delighted Halfling and Orcish Bowmasters. And then I see Gerardo94 on 4c Omnath playing Delighted Halfling and The One Ring, which is an amazing shell for the card!

• And in the 7-3 bracket, we see Oscar_Franco on 5c Omnath playing the Delighted Halfling and The One Ring here as well, with the B splash for Unmoored Ego (naming opponent’s The One Ring?). I also look at the amuletheads Mistakenn and Aeonyx on Amulet Titan playing The One Ring since the card is great if you play it out early! And I’m also looking at KazukiOoyama on 5c Creativity playing Lorien Revealed (better known as Lórien Revealed). And of course, our second favorite Canadian (me being the first, right?) CanadianNinja on 67-cards Niv to Light! I still don’t get the 67 cards but eh?
