“It is a complicated issue. It is truly a complicated issue, with a wide range of views, truly a wide range of views,” Jean-Pierre said. “There is no ‘yes or no’ answer to this, it is complicated. There is a rule that the Department of Education [DOE] has put forward, and we’re going to let that process move forward, and again, we want to make sure that while we establish guardrails with this rule, we also prevent discrimination, as well, against transgender kids. But again, a complicated issue with a wide range of views, and we respect that.”

“Absolutely no reason for the Biden admin to do this,” New York Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez wrote. “It is indefensible and embarrassing. The admin can still walk this back, and they should. It’s a disgrace.”

“Honestly, this move by Biden to push a rule on trans kids in sports is not only a backwards betrayal, it [forces] us to have to spend our time dealing with god d*** sports instead of criminal bans on our healthcare,” Alejandra Caraballo, a civil rights attorney and LGBTQ+ advocate, wrote. “He could have just done nothing. This is legitimizing transphobia.”

The mOsT PrOgReSsIvE Administration in History™ funny-clown-hammer “A complicated issue with a wide range of views, and we respect that” funny-clown-hammer Fuck off out of here with that “centrist” nonsense. There’s nothing complicated about it, and it’s not an issue unless you want to turn it into one and want to appeal to people’s emotions like Republicans are doing. It was only a matter of time before they’d start throwing trans people under the bus. I guess with the coming elections it’s as good a time as ever.

Gotta love all the liberals coming in here telling us why it’s “complicated”, while pointing out they support trans right. No, you don’t support trans rights. Because if you did, you wouldn’t undermine those rights by parroting the same talking points as conservatives; talking points that are based on willfully ignoring facts, and even the lack of evidence that this is an issue that exists in the first place. It also gets tiring seeing those same people act like they know how trans people’s bodies work, and not even acknowledge the fact that trans people go through biological changes if they can get gender affirming care, and are very comparable to their cis counterparts. The medical science on it is right there, and trans people’s own experiences are living proof as well. But it’s easier forming bullshit “opinions” instead, especially if you have a certain agenda (conservatives), or just don’t care about said minority as much as you think you do.

Look at all the harm being reduced. funny-clown-hammer Look at how this was and will be the most important election of our lives funny-clown-hammer

Clearly trans people are only good enough to get your rocks off to and then be discarded. But tell me again why I need to vote for the-democrat and how they’re really any different from the-republican?

I unironically think blanket bans on sport might be interesting, mostly because I want to see how grillman types might react to seeing something so fundamental to their lives and character yanked out from beneath their feet. Chicago vs. NY? Philidelphia vs. LA? Spain vs. UK? Brazil vs. Poland? Go get a life, dog

Oh nice this is on /all/ now. I’d just like to say that anyone that supports democrats after this deserves to be hit by a truck. That is all.

Eat shit, I genuinely hope physical harm comes to you.

On a tangential note, arm lgbt people.

In a better world, the right-wing position is to give every LGBT+ person an assault rifle. The centrist position is to give every LGBT+ person a bazooka. The left-wing position is to give every LGBT+ person a railgun. The communist position is to give every LGBT+ person a heavily-armed 30 foot tall mech.

The violence being perpetrated against trans people by liberals happened first. I have dead friends because of these fucks.

Fighting back is self defence. They advocated for institutional violence first. What do you think rules and laws are when they’re targeted against the marginalised? If any of us break them do you think the system asks us nicely not to? No. It commits violence. That’s not even considering the amount of trans people that actively kill themselves over the day to day hellscape liberals have created for the marginalised, but most particularly for trans people.

Eat shit libs. All you care about is brunch and treats while everyone beneath you gets fucking crushed.

I’m glad that you’re completely unaffected by this and don’t give a shit but for those of us that are affected you need to realise almost all of us have dead friends (plural, for some of us it’s dozens) over transphobic policy making and we absolutely regard you as responsible for those deaths. Maybe this will put into some perspective why seeing you physically feel what we feel might crack something in you that lets you feel a little bit of fucking empathy.

Did any of this go through your mind before you decided to barrel in here and utterly disregard the obvious nature of trans people hurting? Nah. You didn’t give a fuck because you’re a transphobic bag of shit without emotions.

Every single person that supports anything killing the people I love absolutely deserves physical harm and to be tossed out of any future socialist country. If I had my way I’d make a ridiculous spectacle of it. You’d be loaded into giant overpowered novelty circus cannons and launched into the sea where you can figure out where you want to swim, not my problem.

Eat shit. This is not a joke, this is not a game, people die over this shit. This is the real world and you’re talking to the real people affected by it communicating their emotions in the absolutely raw way they deserve to be communicated. Have some fucking respect and stop being an animal.

Besides what everyone else is saying in defense of trans rights which are human rights, I want to add a tangential point. I wouldn’t ever want my elected representative to think an issue is complicated. I sent you to the executive branch to exercise power on my behalf. Not to exercise fairness, not to exercise @Civility@hexbear.net . No, motherfucker, we WON, fucking act like it. I don’t need the issue explained to me, you’re not a salesman. You don’t propose shit; I do. If you’re the one for the job, I vote for you. You are my public servant. I don’t know what drivel they taught you for that bullshit law degree, but it’s clouded you to the reality that your will, desire, and vision for the country as an elected official is secondary to mine. The issue is not complicated as far as you’re concerned; we’ll tell you what the answer is.

Kids can be up to a year older than their classmates due to the way kindergarten start date cutoffs work. These kids who arbitrarily end up older tend to outperform their peers, because a 7.9 year old is stronger and faster than a 7 year old. This is a real difference - the NHL did a study on this and found that their players disproportionately have early-year birthdays due to how this effect lines up with hockey camps.

Do you care? Of course not, nobody cares about the competitive fairness of kids’ sports, the point is just to get them to exercise and have a hobby. We can verify that nobody takes this seriously by looking at high school sports, where suddenly a four year age gap is acceptable.

Okay, so why does this suddenly matter when it’s what team a trans kid should be on?
