  • Because of idiots like them, either not understanding what woke means, or by taking it to comical extreme, real issues get buried under. I wouldn’t be surprised if this list was created by an Ai or was meant to be funny in the first place. I would say some stuff there has nothing to do with wokeness at all, such as gay relationships is too woke for them. I go this far and say whoever made that list seems to be anti-gay.

And that’s my take, going too extreme is always bad and destroys any nuances and makes real problems hard to find and discuss.

  • Salty developers who got blocked on Twitter, lol. First, who cares what opinion some person has on Twitter. It doesn’t affect or is related to Godot. Without context or being involved, i have to assume the community manager had reason to block those people who got annoying. You guys make problems out of nothing. Also how serious can we take it, if this is documented on knowyourmeme and are events happened on Twitter? About Wokeness of games?

The fork of Godot won’t change anything of this subject. It only supports toxicity towards the developers and splits the community for no reason. Your fork won’t solve the problem that you got blocked in Twitter.

  • While the effects of cheat codes are not copyrighted, its probably still possible to patent them. But that would cost the company lot of legal fees and complications, for cheats. Also thankfully the cheat codes themselves are not copyrighted. But I feel like Konami could potentially trademark the “Konami Code” (which is even named and known like this). This EU court is only about Copyright, which is a good thing and is what everyone gets for free. But trademarks and patents could still be a problem if companies really want to be an ass (like Nintendo, Konami or Rockstar).

  • I agree with the overall sentiment, but with a butt. If they plan on doing DLC to make the main story shorter, then the game is basically unfinished and you have to pay for the finished product. Now, that’s not always true. Sometimes there are good examples and I think most people agree on the DLCs for Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 are prime examples how to do it right. As long as the DLC is not at cost of the main game, I’m fine with it. But as you said, the main story should be long as it should and not longer.

The main money maker will be probably GTA Online 2 and GTA 6 is just the drug to get into the world.

  • What is the problem with the literal “6” figure, that you specifically mention this? I prefer using numerals, but that comes from a programming standpoint and so it becomes the default way of numbering things. Also sorting with roman is also an issue. It’s just a habit.

Do gamers struggle reading roman numerals?

Why making a problem out of nothing and then asking a question with an implicit attack? That guy just used a numeral, that’s all. There is no deep psychological background and that gamers suddenly have a problem with roman numerals.

Man this is Twitter level of shit talk!
