by that same logic a use that sees content they don’t like on a community they do can block that user.
is there a problem with content being posted that doesn’t match communities right now? i haven’t noticed one. the biggest problem on this platform right now is lack of content. downvotes, or any tool for creating explicit negative social interaction or feedback can make a community more hostile and less inviting. right now i generally see almost no posts on any nsfw communities that should get downvotes that don’t just get taken care of by a moderator. right now we need to draw people in to posting content way way more than we need better tools to organize it.
but all of the same things could be said about Biden. he won. what changed?
the data does not support this conclusion. more young men did not vote for Trump, less people in total voted. almost no one changed their vote from last election. people were just convinced to stay home, which always results in Republican wins. both candidates got less votes total than last year, by a lot. i blame this on the “i refuse to vote for genocide” people that have just successfully accelerated that genocide.
the real metric that matters is that way way less people voted. not many people changed their votes from last time. many people are simply convinced to stay home, and as always, that results in a Republican win. the propaganda that was most effective was all of the “Kamala is no true Scotsman, so you should just not vote”. i believe this was lost by the people that “refused to vote for genocide”. i think that’s what accelerated the genocide.
they aren’t saying all media. they’re saying that the media conservatives consume is like that. this is about the media and information bubble that you clearly exist in.
you expect a layperson to be capable of that? you’re expectations are too high. that’s the level of detail aftter you just need to go read their own words.
the Harris walz campaign has pages and pages of details about exactly what and how they plan to manage that. go read that. it surely has the answers.
huh, i guess I hadn’t heard anyone’s actual experience from it. I’ve never been myself. it’s only interesting enough for me to want to know that it exists. there is no world in which I would actually pay what it costs to go to Disney world. it’s just not my thing. I’d rather find some elk to watch frolic or some shit. that sounds when more magical. still neat to see that it’s kind of real now.
but yeah, my biases make it easy to believe that it’s all cheaper and shittier than they lead on. that sounds like what a company like Disney would do. make something that looks flashy and makes a good headline, but disappoints when in person.
thank you for sharing your experiences.
for that to be a temporary exhibit is almost crazier. that thing i dreamed of having as a child isn’t even worth keeping around when compared to everything else they’ve got going on.
damn, i was thinking it had to be newer it’s based on how this picture looked.
i was born in 1995. it’s usually surprisingly easy to tell when things are before my time just by looking at them. camera technology was rapidly changing in that era. this one is right on the edge. it’s not impossible that i saw some of that as a toddler, but i certainly don’t remember it.
what is, “aes”? it’s usually best to define niche acronyms when using them in a general community.
the article you linked doesn’t help, it’s too niche for Google to help… autocratic ethnostate? authoritarian election trick?
when it comes to genuinely unique technology based experiences like that, there’s nothing that beats Disney world. Disney Land is really nothing like it. Disney Land is mostly a regular theme park, not that much different than a six flags. Disney world has the most money and research put into it of any physical attraction in the world. that shit has probably had more money dumped into it than the Roman collosseum in its time. the things thet have there now feel like actual magic. they have 3d hologram systems, the have lightsabers that extend and look exactly like the movies, they have the same level of robot as what Tesla used to announce the cybertaxi just running around the park all the time. I’ve never been, but they have the most unbelievable entertainment technology there. i can see how a child would walk away feeling like they experienced something special.
who the hell is this character that apparently only I haven’t heard of???
there is straight up not enough info here to Google it and the comments aren’t helping.
is that like a Russian gangster getting buried in their car?
the article isn’t really getting into the conspiracy theories that are actually causing this.
it’s more qanon style “fema is the secret police enforcement arm of the deep state coming to do their dark bidding on you the one time you’re vulnerable and no one will see or believe you”
that’s what they believe that makes them want to kill them. generally speaking.
huh, I’ve only ever heard it not attached to “over yonder”. for me it’s just a modifier to distance and direction to indicate you don’t account for terrain. “it’s about 5 miles south as the crow flies, but that river might give you hell”
yes, obviously, but how does not voting for Harris accomplish that?
the choices are genocide vs worse genocide. the choices suck, but they also shouldn’t be hard
