There’s a whole sub in R*ddit called r/ewwphoria that is basically filled with these kind of interactions.

It is disgusting behaviour, but it’s totally understandable why something awful like that would feel euphoric because it validates your gender identity in a twisted way.

You can feel offended and validated at the same time, they’re not mutually exclusive. I hope you are in an otherwise safe place and can get lots of compliments that are not demeaning like that though 💜

If you want to restart the workout, go for it! But only if you feel like it’s something you want to do and the action or results will bring you joy.

You don’t have to prove anything to anybody. Your identity is only yours to decide and enjoy!

The feeling that you’re not able to show your real identity to the real world is pretty telling by itself. Being in an unsafe place where you can’t express yourself properly is not the same thing as not being trans.

Be Home Free by Whitewoods always made me think that the singer was singing to my inner self, even when I was in complete denial.

I don’t think it’s supposed to be a trans song but the themes it touches upon are so similar (mirror memories, a cell with a key, forgetting your name tonight…) that I couldn’t shake the feeling it had another, more subtle meaning.
