If it wasn’t clear I don’t want it to happen…but over the years I have felt pretty disenfranchised by the actions of the party vs the will of the voters, and I am still going to vote for them.

It would be the most Democratic Party move ever to push Joe out and announce Hillary again.
Neo Launcher, available in the IzzyOnDroid F-Droid Repo, has been my solid go-to for replacing Nova.

I prefer a ton of icons/folders/widgets on my home screen, and it supports that dense layout.
He is allowed to state his personal opinions despite being the leadership of one of the most populous state. I appreciate that opinion.
I had to cut my sister out of my life for her constant abuse and toxicity. It sadly cost me the relationship with my father who is now 80 and likely we won’t get the chance to reconnect before he is gone. It has been almost 4 years and I have no regrets about cutting her off. She has since shown up at my door multiple times unannounced (we live 350 miles away) and has tried to circumvent me and communicate directly with my kids by giving them toys.
Or claim the election is already rigged, causing enough of his folks to stay home and NOT vote in other races that the house and state governments see unprecedented flips.
I’m just not seeing a smoking gun here for some nefarious evil. Seems she did a lot of work on real areas of concern, seeking to help consult with the company on issues that they need to address.

Butler joined Airbnb as head of public policy for North America after the company’s initial racial discrimination scandal had largely abated, but during her tenure the company sought to address concerns about parties at Airbnb rentals and the company’s effects on housing affordability, the pandemic’s effect on tourism and local governments’ efforts to collect taxes from the business.
— In 2021, Butler praised the Biden administration’s opening offer for what became the bipartisan infrastructure bill and Inflation Reduction Act on Airbnb’s behalf, urging congressional leadership to enact a “robust” package to expand rural broadband access. Airbnb also had to weather calls to drop its sponsorship of the 2022 Olympics in Beijing, and disclosures show the company lobbied on antitrust, small business, and Section 230 while Butler was there.
False, former CA labor leader with a huge pro labor track record who was hired in an unspecified advisory role to consult on labor relations. No one has provided any evidence about what that role meant, and it’s possible she went in and said “be better to your employees” and they said “no” and that was it…the CA voters handed them what they wanted anyway in the last round of props. She moved to MD recently as part of her work generally promoting women in politics. So being from CA but with a perspective on national politics…sounds like a solid fit, meeting Newsom’s 2 self imposed criteria (black woman not running in 2024). She also has a strong pro-choice background, and represents LGBT rights as an open lesbian. I think the haters are looking for any reason to hate what Newsom does, I think she is a totally reasonable choice, and to be blunt, Lee will be 78/79 at the time she takes office should she win the election, that is not who I want representing me.
But he also said he wouldn’t appoint someone running for the seat in the upcoming election, so Lee was not a possible candidate for appointment.
The problem is he made conflicting statements…he said he would appoint a black woman to fill the demographic gap created by harris-padilla, and said he won’t appoint someone who plans to run in the election as an incumbent has an advantage he thinks dilutes the will of the voters in an open field. It puts him in a bad spot with Barbara Lee, a totally self-inflicted political pickle.
I think discovery seasons 1 and 2 were fine and help as a precursor to snw which is great, but for sure skip discovery seasons 3 and 4
Fossil Hybrid HR, love it. E-ink screen means 10 days of battery, and soverign data with custom faces through gadgetbridge…it’s a watch first, and a health tracker and notification point second.
I think the current state of the NHS undercuts that argument; the doctors are underfunded there and services have suffered.
I think this is exactly what I want to see, news orgs (not just “mainstream” news, but let’s say, professional orgs in an industry) hosting their own instances with closed signups for accounts with JUST relevant topics. I tried to find some journalists on journa.host to fill in tech and local news, and while I found the people, it was way too much personal/personality content and not as much news.
No but they affirm your gender. Gender affirming care is not just about changing gender.
That includes breast implants in women and hair transplants in men, right?
I have been trolling people for years with passionate wat-too-serious arguments that the rainbow is ROY G BAP for blue and purple.
I really feel like all the TNG content as of late has felt so recycled and fan service without bringing much to the table. Trek is always the best when it is commentary on an optimistic view of humanity told on the stage of space exploration and geopolitics. “Borg changelings…but different Borg than the Borg we did last season or the season before that” isn’t it. Also, Trek always balanced stakes so well…either the ship or the planet they were on was at risk, or maybe a tense situation with a known galactic enemy, but galaxy-extiction events were rare and built up to. We are now 3 for 3 of galaxy ending events that were only averted by having one decrepid old celebrity in the right place and time…it’s lost me.
But the alternative is a gamble on fascism, in a 2 party system you have to pick the establishment you dislike least.
