The incoherent rant from the lemmy.ca user is in response to someone posting an image of those three trans men who got arrested on purpose for getting changed in the women’s changing room at a waterpark following their state ruling that changing rooms must be used on the basis of assigned sex rather than gender. I suspect that the lemmy.ca user doesn’t know this context.

is “do not send me selfies” a reasonable boundary? they make me very uncomfortable. i personally never take or send selfies so i suppose i never learned the expected way to respond to them, but that doesn’t feel like it’s the whole explanation. but also nobody needs to justify their boundaries so maybe the explanation doesn’t matter.
some relevant context is that i’ve always hated being in pics and videos (maybe just a dysphoria thing?) and i think i’m autistic.

13·1 month agoIt’s nice that it’s both concise and completely degendered. I do have a soft spot for “conference” though, it feels upmarket and fancy.
i don’t see adverts so i couldn’t say, but ipl is less effective than laser which is less effective than electrolysis. electrolysis is very time consuming and expensive though, so typically a transfem will clear as much as possible with laser then get electro to clean up. if you only want to clear low density fine hair, home ipl might work for you.
Tria 4x is pretty good for face but larger areas would require incredible patience and multiple battery recharges. I’m not aware of another so-called home laser device which isn’t just IPL.
