Oh it absolutely has. I don’t eat much fast food, but it’s absolutely gotten worse. I prefer fried chicken if I’m eating trash food and i have to assume the oil has gotten way worse.

Because those animals are cool. You see the others you mentioned too, but you don’t see animals no one likes. It’s less soul searching and finding you are something else and more finding something cool and wanting to be like it.

Mostly the same, i was raised to be a worthless red neck. I’m not. The issue with using our experiences is that we are people, we have an inner world and are capable of free thought. Trump’s followers aren’t.

On the other, If Trump does even a little of what he wants those of us evolved enough to be considered human will be able to have a really good “i told you so” moment.

That’s what I’m considering once they start killing or putting people into camps (might not happen this 4 years, but that is objectively what they are trying to do). I’m learning Japanese and they have been increasing their protection rate of refugees, and Germany’s rate is routinely very high (last i checked) so that’s an option too.

Iirc that is only true in the sense that being queer does the same. It isn’t anywhere near comparable in severity of course, I’ve never had a single person rant at me for being awake at 3am, but it’s still a constricting society that punishes people for sticking out in big and small ways that causes compounding issues in people.

An idea i had that i imagine would turn out pretty well is Japanese speaking forums for westerners specifically. It’d have a buy in that no one interested in only trolling would go in for (learning a language, especially one far from English).

Some pirate coves protect themselves by requiring an invite from someone already in the community, that could work really well too.

Generally, just requiring a little work to get someplace would make communities a lot nicer.
