Probably both. He promised tax cuts for the wealthy, and they thought he’d be easily manipulated like last time. Unfortunately for the rich his Russian handlers want the economy destroyed and they’re the only ones he’s beholden to.

Maybe not as much as we would like, but each court order gives departments more leverage to resist illegal executive orders. We’ll see more and more examples like USADF barring DOGE from entering the building.
I’m sure a social safety net propped up entirely by bureaucrats is going to suddenly deprive every one of their rights. It won’t be a government with mass surveillance and militarized police. Nope, those are definitely not two different things. Big government is big government regardless of form apparently.
Probably one of the many things that will be his downfall if he stays this course. Telling the military to fight people who have been very close allies for so long will not go over well.
It may look silly to most people, but it actually looks like a great accessibility device. Assuming it can hold the device without support from the user it would be great for someone who struggles to hold it up or keep their arms bent - use a bluetooth controller on their lap and they’re good to go.
There was definitely some fuckery going on, since he did a three hour interview with Trump the day he claimed as a “personal day” right in the middle of her visit. They didn’t outright reject her, just made the terms too difficult to meet. Though I will say that this:
“The vice president of the United States is offering to come to your f—ing show, and you keep putting up more hoops,” the book quoted Flaherty’s thinking at the time as being.
This type of thinking is a big part of what ruined her campaign. They treated an interview like a favor to Rogan, not as a two way deal. Expecting the media (especially a notably right-leaning podcaster) to bend over backwards to accommodate them was absolutely absurd.
In a world where he is bound by laws he is also bound to uphold treaties ratified by Congress, and attacking Greenland is an immediate violation of our NATO treaties. So if Congress actually felt like flexing its authority they could shut down an invasion immediately, but I have little hope of that happening.
They never could have imagined our modern society at all. The amount of power and influence held by just a handful of private citizens couldn’t have been accounted for in the 18th century.
We don’t need campaign insiders to tell us anything.
Mostly because they haven’t learned shit. They still think they just needed more time or to change their advertising strategy. It’s infuriating. It’s not how the message was presented, it’s the damn message!
Just a heads up, the author of this article worked with maia crimew on it and then poorly presented the evidence in a right-wing paper with no credit. Here’s maia’s post with more solid evidence:
My workplace uses SharePoint and it makes me want to gouge my eyes out. Come to think of it, all the Microsoft Enterprise products have that effect on me.
None of them need to be paid off to do this. Trump is starting to back away from some promises because it threatened the money interests, and the true believers like Loomer are losing it cause they were so close to getting everything they wanted out of this administration. They still aren’t blaming Trump directly, but it won’t take long if he keeps siding with Elon.
I think it’s fairly common to not translate the initials for political party names. Most English commentary I’ve seen uses just the initials. That said, it is a little weird they translated the names and used the initials at the same time.
“In the case of infectious diseases such as hepatitis C, curing existing patients also decreases the number of carriers able to transmit the virus to new patients,” the memo argued.
Jesus. Fucking. Christ. They’re not just arguing against curing chronic illnesses, they’re arguing against curing infectious chronic illnesses because it creates less patients to extort in the long run. That is one of the most heinous things I’ve seen put to paper.
Horseshoe theory is an incorrect oversimplification of extreme politics. If it were true then anarchists would be no different than fascists, which couldn’t be further from the truth.
I think most people do it that way, hell I use Vim and tiling window managers and I still do it that way most of the time.
I think you missed the point of the person you responded to. The point wasn’t to not help them, but to provide those basic needs and help them recover before starting to give them money as well. Give them housing, food, clothing, and access to resources to get better. Then, once they are in a better place to take care of themselves, give them the money to support themselves.
The actual acid (acetic in vinegar, citric in citrus and tomatoes) actually boils off with the water. So a long simmer actually removes the acid and changes the pH of the dish.
It’s got me worried why. Yeah, Musk pretty much bankrolled his campaign, but is that really all takes to make a lapdog out of Trump? The man who has shown zero loyalty to anyone but himself? I guess he seems pretty loyal to Russia, but that’s a different story.
