Hello there.

Members of Green Peace protested the use of seal fur and meat, the act of “seal clubbing” and the sale of seal products. This was one of the main sustainable economies in the North. As a result, the communities living there were forced to engage in oil drilling and seismic testing in order to earn money. Still, the fact that seal products are no longer profitable have plunged these indigenous and rural populations into poverty.

The moral of this story is when you see some sort of big moral outrage about something, whether the moral outrage is coming form the left, right, or middle, whether it’s “save the animals,” “save the children,” “save religion,” whatever, you need to do some sort of basic, casual research into what type of bandwagon you’re thoughtlessly jumping on.

Then find entry level fast food jobs and use those as an example. Still really difficult to get those jobs, but it would at least make a small amount of sense.

There’s this really notorious wokescold in my local organizing community who joins EVERY leftist space and fractures it. I stopped being friends with them after discovering they were trying to blackmail and defraud a local LGBT charity. Although they’ve been banned from a lot of organizing groups, their method of aggression is to frame themselves as a righteously indignant victim, so it takes a really long time to be able to effectively call them out on their behavior. Their complaints about other organizers would, if repeated by back to a third party who didn’t know the context, seem reasonable or sympathetic.

I thought they were making all these accusations due to past trauma or mental illness, and I was already distancing myself from them when I found out about the blackmail. But this wasn’t just one person. This is a Type of Person who is allowed to exist unquestioned in most Leftist communities.

Meanwhile, a chapter of one local organizing group has sexual assault prevention bylaws which were written by an alleged serial sex pest or alleged rapist, depending on which victim story you believe. Said individual has allegedly convinced multiple formerly homeless trans women, some decades younger than themselves, into cohabiting with them in their large estate home. After these bylaws were published, most female-born people left the organization, leaving only male-born people and very early transition transfems (who were promptly taken advantage of, allegedly).

The best option in that situation may be, loathe as I am to say it, Reddit.

Um…no? Not only is it full of bots and 4chan psyops but it’s a toxic environment even if none of those things were true. That’s aside from the fact that Reddit is full of violent transphobia.

There is no Leftist party or organizing space. Not for lack of trying, but you’ve got to be willing to critically think in order to keep these communities alive.

That’s (probably) because he, like the men who wrote the Bible, does not believe female-born people should be considered humans subject to the law, opting instead for honor-violence.

It doesn’t matter how willing you are. Nursing schools do not accept just any willing person. When it comes to actually doing the job… it takes a whole lot more than just being willing. The average person CANNOT be a nurse. It’s just a very tone deaf and unrealistic thing to suggest.

It’s easy to complain about how hard something is and only a little less easy to make a change.

Intelligence and emotional ability are not the result of willpower. It’s actually more comparable to being athletic or physically strong. Sure, most people can improve their physical health, but there is a threshold for how strong you’re capable of becoming, determined by genetics and lifestyle. Intelligence and emotional capacity are the same. It’s sort of like you showed open positions for being a bodybuilder or an MMA fighter and then said “see? there are plenty of jobs.” This makes no real-world sense.

Nursing school is incredibly difficult both to get into and to complete. There may be a lot of nursing jobs available in your area for this very reason.

I would literally rather work with dozens of people in violent psychosis than work with one developmentally normal modern-day child.

Just because there was no law against something (when the law applied mostly or at times only to males) doesn’t mean it was considered ok or consequence-free.

These front-facing organizations have been thoroughly infiltrated by bad actors, at least in my local area.

Queer men are sometimes more masculine-looking than straight men, both in appearance and in interests, if I can for a second stereotype a group of people I know fairly well.
