How about you go read about FDR and Huey Long.

Bully pulpit. He doesn’t have the force of personality necessary to use the powers the president does have to make his will enacted via the other branches of government. Other candidates, whole not fully having it, had more of it.

If we had a president with the force of will, personality, and smarts of FDR in the modern era they’d be able to do all of those things in spite of the separation of powers.
