Depends on the state. Most states from my understanding work like this:

Threatening to throw a rock and/or actually throwing it is assault. When / If the rock hits them then that’s battery.

So in this case the threat of violence is the assault. Had he actually made contact then it would have been battery too.

Because it’s good for society as a whole? We already do similar things like mandate contraceptives converged under insurance. Plus we also fund things via taxes eg schools, Medicare, etc.

I’m sure it’s going to be something like house arrest. I doubt they will be allowed to go further than that. Mostly because they’re going to have a bunch of law suits launched trying to find some judge that will grant a stay somewhere even if it’s not proper for them to do so. In the end it will fail but it will just motivate his base even more.

Prison I’m guessing would be a minimum security facility. Most likely with marshals protection.

But I’m not even close to an expert so I could be completely wrong!

It’s not hard to read and it’s pretty clear. IMHO it’s better than most ELUA text I’ve seen.

Besides with the scale at which this site is growing it would be STUPID of them NOT to put up something like this. At the bare minimum it’s protecting their asses from liability if/when someone decides to sue them. They can’t point to that text and say this is what/why we took the actions we did.

The world temporary isn’t used there. There would be nothing to stop someone from just making a new account in either case. But if it were obvious someone was trying to get around that clause then it would be more than enough of a reason to swing the ban hammer.
