as i see it, the point of lemmy and mastodon is the federation, so the infrastructure can be decentralized but the content on there isn’t. like other guy said, probably better to search for isolated forums for topics that you like. upside is that stalkers will have a way harder time tracking all of your online activity.

you’re better off not using lemmy at all then. I never really got the discrimination for the different instances anyway, it’s true that certain people tend to hang out on certain instances, but discounting everything just because of the link they chose when creating an account is dumb imo.
i assume if my router isn’t there i shouldn’t be installing openwrt on it?
is there something wrong with RAM on windows? iirc this was one of the things that worked normally for me.

7·3 hours agomy now deleted reddit account is archived on pullpush, just cause they scrape everything. I don’t have stalkers, but i might in the future. They’ve just totally ignored my GDPR request and blocked me from communication lol. i’ve complained to my DPA but i think i either got ignored or i’m expected to wait over a year.

4·2 days agono, i agree with you. i was just being facetious
i was assuming no logs policy being a given; without it, the VPN is worthless no matter how good privacy laws are in their jurisdiction.
they’re populists, and their policy is whatever gets them the most votes at the moment.
if you don’t give them any info then their jurisdiction doesn’t really matter. It might mean they’ll get shut down eventually, but it’s easy to move to a different VPN then.
price increase and yet still the cheapest i’ve seen for what they’re offering.

I know admins can power trip, but i don’t believe that just so happens to be the case for every single instance you sign up for just because your political viewpoints are different, unless you’re incredibly confrontational about them or you’re a literal nazi fascist; which no one here likes, twitter would be a better place then.
For obvious reasons i don’t have access to comments on your previous accounts, but from what you said i would try re-evaluating whether it really is true that everyone else is the problem, and you’re 100% blameless.
