The Goblin trader that gets left in the Goblin camp. The way he says “Praise The Absolute” whilst brushing his finger across his nose is so well delivered. Reminds me of a character from a Monty Python sequence.

Mostly kept away from news about BG3 story because I’m playing it and don’t want to be spoiled. Had no idea that there might be “backlash” against Lae’zel. Though I’m not going to read much stock in an article that’s just a bunch of tweets compiled together.
Had plenty of RPG characters not to be to my taste in other games, but my complaints usually only come in if there’s too many of them within a single game. I kinda want to know there’s a range of characters to explore with, shows breadth. Certainly if it were a full palette of whiny brats then I’d probably bounce off the game.
My only complaint so far (and I know there’s been posts in this area) is just how fucking horny people seem to be. I’m trying to buddy up with party members and they’re taking it as me coming on to them. I feel like I’m walking on egg shells when picking some responses in fear it’ll get me shoved into the sex pen with them. I’m also surprised at how fast relationships develop. I’m still in act one and have had 3 or 4 people in my camp express their wishes to bed me. Dudes, we’ve just met and yer boi has a fucked up STD like wriggler in my eye.
Not dying.
Sweet, thanks. Looks like there’s a couple of potential fixes in there that I can try. Shame I’m nowhere near level 5 yet to try the level up one (I guess I could go back through my saves to try and find a previous level up to test it).
Never had the issue when he lived in the Underdark, it’s that stupid sky and its bright light that’s the problem.
And check to see if going back to an earlier save restores it.
Good point, went back to near the start and the portrait is there. IIRC it vanished early on, then reappeared for a while, then vanished again for the last 15 hours of play.
Have only just started the game so haven’t heard much of the music. I have to say though that “down by the river” song during character creation was not good. Not only were the lyrics really weak sounding, it didn’t feel right to have someone singing down my ear as I was trying to read the spell and ability text.
Personal preference and all that, but the “lah di dah hmmmm ooooooh” vocal work in fantasy music is very overdone and often these days just sounds like what you’d get from some royalty free site. I certainly think it can still be done well, but it has to be done well to not sound like generic fantasy.mp3
Chair can make a big difference. I switched from a basic office chair to a Herman Miller and it was night and day. I can sit in that thing all day without noticing, my old chair had me wanting to stand and stretch all the time and still left me with an aching back.
Telus likes this.
Why not neither of them?
Not really without a lot of work. The good thing is that there’s already Apollo inspired apps available. Mlem, and Memmy support iOS and they’re getting better by the day. I’d recommend checking them out and contributing feedback. You should soon have your Apollo style experience.
Can confirm I was looking for the right community to talk about this instance and when I saw posts about noodles I presumed this was not it (I actually didn’t read the sidebar). Would be good to enforce moderation a bit more on this space. Not that I don’t love noodles.
I’m only interested in it if I can plant an oak seed and see the tree grow.
Also free on https://www.gog.com/en/game/crusader_kings_ii if you want a DRM free version.
Non directly, they own a lot of companies and IP. A LOT. Gearbox, Coffee Stain, Deep Silver, Warhorse, Aspyr, Saber, THQ Nordic, Dark Horse Comics, 3D Realms, Volition, Ghost Ship Games. You can put them in the same sphere as Microsoft with all their owned companies as both were out scooping them up over the last few years.
I’m sure Game Pass does a hit on Steam’s numbers, but no way does it hit that hard. Plenty of games are on Game Pass with high player counts on Steam. Take Back 4 Blood, not a well received game that’s also on Game Pass and currently has 982 players on Steam.
Planet of Lana—a indie game I honestly have never heard of—came out on Game Pass and Steam last month - 66 players.
I’m sure the 58 people currently playing it on Steam are thankful. It’s crazy how hard that game bombed.
Google screwed up like a lot of companies do. YouTube was never profitable to run. They were just burning through cash to keep the lights on and become the number one video host online.
Internally there became a mandate to try and turn it into a profit making machine and the advertisers caught wind so they stepped in with their demands knowing that they were going to be the source of the profits. This is where the content restrictions started to happen as videos needed to become ad friendly.
I wish YouTube would have figured out another path to help provide the service and pay video creators. At least with Premium you don’t get ads and Sponsor Skip means you don’t see embedded VPN and game sponsors.
