uwu owo etc., you know…
I watched the first season of Lower Decks, and… it didn’t really clicked. It’s just waaaay too fast paced (and goofy) for Star Trek to me - tho the cartoon itself is good.
With Picard, I checked 2 or 3 eps of it, but honestly I’m not sure I really wanna continue. (Tho I don’t want to punish my gf by skipping them since Star Trek is our daily thing, so I might watch it) and Strange New Worlds is something that awaits. I’ve heard good things about that one so not all hopes lost for me 😅
yeah, you may right. I was hesitant for a second when I put Enterprise too into categ. 3. But It’s still sorta in-between…
and that theme song wasn’t that bad afterall :P. at least the OG one.
I started Star Trek from 0 around 2 years ago.
I had to stop at number 2 of your list. (Maybe a bit later since I still watched Enterprise…) but Discovery killed the whole thing for me. I was like… how bad it can be? It’s still Star Trek… well no.
Checked out a few episodes of Picard…, I dunno. That’s also not necessarily the Star Trek for me. :/
(On the other hand, Seth MacFarlane’s Orville was amazing)
The thing about foldables is that they are great and great for a while now - hardware wise. Like, my Fold 4 is amazing. The hole when it’s closed is a bit strange, but now they managed to close these phones technically flushed - so the only “real” problem disappeared.
the software side of things is what more important. how the OS handles the two (or three) and foldable screens.
It’s nice that Google too is pushing this market. This means the support for folding screens will be eventually completely baked into the OS and the manufacturers don’t have to hack up apps and services for it.
Now we need people to buy these to make the tech even more cheap and better. Though, if I look into the future in a kind of sci-fi glasses, folding and flexible screens are evident so I think we will be there eventually.
it’s like saying don’t have sex anymore 'cause porn is abuse.
🤘 thanks dude
One of my “modern” folk song is about exactly this phenomenon.
Edit: here it is, if someone is interested, it’s an old-styled, descending, parlando rubato hungarian folk song. I noted it down using solmization.
A
2/4||: la,/8 mi/8 mi/8 re/8 | mi/4+ mi/8 | ti,/8 do/8 re/8 mi/8 | ti,/4 la,/4 | ti,/2* :|
B
||: do/8 do/8 ti,/8 la,/8 | mi/8 re/8 do/4 | ti,/2* | do/8 do/8 do/8 re/8 | mi/8 re/8 do/8 | ti,/2* |
C
|| so,/8 so,/8 so,/8 so,/8 | so,/4* do/8 ta,/8* | la,/2** ||
(the comma after the solmization indicates the note being in a lower octave. Plus sign after a not length value means it’s dotted. Asteriks means fermata. Also, there is one strange solmization note (used in relative solmization) which I marked as “ta”, it’s a flat ti.)
And the lyrics (in hungarian)
“Várakozom én a százötvenegyes buszra, ( A )
Kezemben készen a sodort cigaretta, ( A )
Meg is gyújtom azon nyomban, ( B )
Szippantok belőle hosszan, ( B )
Ah, de megjött már az a busz.” ( C )
Which translates to this (I used ChatGPT for the translating, told it to be a bit more… free or poetic or idk):
“Standing at the stop, the one-fifty-one in sight,
In my hand, a cigarette rolled tight.
I light it up, breathe in the smoke,
A long, deep breath, with every toke,
Ah, but now the bus is here, just right.”
more like a dedicated assistant button than wake-word I think
30 from it is stackoverflow, 10 are github, and 2 e926 pages.
They used to deliver these things for free, in 30 minutes or less, or your pizza was free too.
I guess that too now kinda falls into the “too late to buy your own house” thing

haven’t said Discovery was shit because of its overwokeness, it has its serious issues on its own
you were making it bad for yourself, I haven’t said that. It’s a different thing Discovery sucks ass anyway.
I would say DS9 was progressive.
If the topic is woke Star Trek, it’s rather Discovery.
And Bonzi even was a 3rd party thing. Now imagine that shit, just built into the system by that time. 😅
Heck, even MSN Browser was a thing and I’m pretty sure just because it said “Good afternoon” or some shit when you launched it.
