They were quite big, but used super thin paper and small font. There were books thicker still, but still the phrase “thick as a phone book” was used.

There were also Yellow Pages (same format as phone books, but entirely yellow) which listed businesess and stuff.

Pre-internet these were the household essentials.

There was also a number you could call to ask for phone numbers or other stuff. Basically a call in google.

Local culture always changes in time. Take Europe, it’s culture steeped and deeply influenced by Christianity in many countries. And yet Christianity is a religion with Middle East origins. People just don’t look at the bigger picture - or don’t want to. The change in the past was not happening to them, but it is now and that’s what matters.

  • Depends on a dog. Many cities now have dog parks nd you can still take them out of the city.

Dogs are social animals bred for hundreds of years to be our companions. Most will be happy to be inside on a couch with their human, rather than outside alone (obvioualy not exclusively, they need the walks and free time. And every dog may have different needs).
