The fuck? Abusing? They are homeless and just trying to survive and doing the best they can. They are making good use of their resources to embetter their own lives and the system allows for it. If homeless people go to the library perhaps the problem is not the homeless people but that THERE IS NO BETTER OPTION FOR THEM.

Given the type of people that we are targeting here I think that helium blow-up dolls are are a bit of a waste, especially considering the scale that we would need to perform this on to actually make it somewhat believable. Better would be to use hydrogen, its soo much cheaper than helium, has better lift, and is not a limited resource. Along with that a custom order of human shaped and roughly human colored (with painted on clothes patterns) balloons would work better. Likely a lot cheaper if done at larger scales, blow up dolls are made of tougher material than your average balloon. This would also allow for the pursuit of more sustainable materials given that we are just sort of releasing this stuff into the sky.

There is also a matter of making it realistic. If we are limiting to maybe one city then its best to create some devices that automatically release them on timed schedules. load these up with a handful of people balloons each and let them release with increasing frequency throughout the day. Should be a bit more convincing and gets a bigger effect. For cleanup we already filled these guys with hydrogen, so why not just light them up. might make for a good effect and leave less waste to be examined, making it more difficult to prove that this is not a rapture event.

Also to be fair to the meme, it’s a meme. Crass and making generalizations to paint a situation in a slightly humorous context is the name of the game. No one actually believes that we apply such sweeping generalizations to everyone. Not to mention where the meme is posted. We are in 196, a queer positive meme community, on blahaj zone, a server whose name references a product which has become a known trans symbol. The memes are going to be LGBT related in general. Anyone arguing that this meme is in any way divisive is likely doing so in bad faith and wasting your and my time.

You are replying to a commenter making a joke about how more gender nuance is somehow related to your status, like we get it, you have the one joke punching down on gender non-conforming folk and cannot for the life of you think up another. Literally attack helicopter levels of bad joke. What the fuck is this comments section.

  • Lol what? This meme is about discussing gender with different groups of people. What does meeting new people have to do with anything? Are you discussing gender with arbitrary people you just met for the first time? I would advise against that, other than maybe mentioning your pronouns when introducing yourself.

  • Cis people often do not think about gender so you find that people who are very well informed about gender can’t talk with the same amount of nuance as they do with other people who are very well informed about gender. You just have to simplify the concepts so that those who don’t know them yet can understand.
