The battery info was already working for me on desktop mode. It even has a nice bubble when the battery of the controller is low.
Glad that this is coming to game mode, too.
Thanks you for the clarification!
According to Wikipedia, there are less than 5000 games for nintendo switch, while the Steam Deck is far beyond 10k games.
I heard some years ago that google trends can be used to track illnesses like flu.
It seems sort of a waste of resources to use a steam deck as a stationary device. However, I don’t think there is a really large market for a console-like steam machine.
Thomas asked what would happen if everyone would jump, not how humanity would go on if all mankind is teleported to Rhode island. Still a funny video.
Now that was really a great answer to a question nobody asked.
Just guessing, I really don’t expect a Steam Deck release this year. But 2025 seems quite likely to me.
Edit: Maybe the next Steam Deck will be based on Zen 6? It is expected roughly two years after the Steam Deck OLED release.
The Zen6 architecture might adopt an advanced manufacturing process, potentially combining 3nm and 2nm technologies, to further enhance performance and efficiency. The expected launch of the Zen6 “Medusa” CPUs is projected for the 2025-2026 period, showcasing AMD’s strategic planning for future developments. - Source
As of this source, the difference is merely 3% in performance. Not worth it, IMO.
I found a price info in the forums:
What price I can expect? Base Model 7840u 16GB/512GB will be 499$ or 4099 CNY Base Model 8840u 16GB/512GB will be 599$ or 4499 CNY
Edit: The same source says there is a touch screen
Same for me. I was wondering if there is another difficulty or so
Back then I was on reddit every week to find out when I might be able to order the steam deck. I got mine in may or june if memory serves me right.
I’m so sorry this hurts your eyes.
This Dock works perfectly for me, also with an adapter to DVI.
This looks great! It would be even better if they improve the handling of multiple accounts on the steam deck.
I bought the steamdock from Skull & Co. This dock works fine, however it does have very few connectors (USB-A, HDMI, USB-C).
It’s also nice that you can easily return games if they don’t run well on your system (at least with steam).
Thanks for the suggestion, after switching Bluetooth off and on again, both controllers are able to connect again. This is at lot faster than removing and pairing.
Still unclear to me why this happens. Does anyone have this problem with other (non-stadia) controllers too?
I was thinking about fuels like HVO. They work well, but have their own ecological implications.
