Garland would have been a better SCOTUS Justice than the Attorney General. If only we had someone better ready to move faster. But even if he had, wouldn’t SCOTUS have still stopped him? Hard to know for sure.

We now know that Chief Justice Roberts is pro autocracy. His actions speak louder than his words. He thinks and has ruled that the President should have more power in the USA than the old kings of England had over their people and parliament. A king who is immune. Charles I got hung for thinking he had less power than what Roberts has granted Weird 34.

I disagree. A Dementia Don win is an inevitability that we’ll have an autocrat in charge. Roberts may want to reflect on the monster he’s created, especially if the autocrat gets his way and dismisses SCOTUS as easily as dismissing the Constitution.

Leaders today, with access to Wikipedia if not researchers with Nobel prizes, do NOT have this excuse.

This is the way. It is possible and unlikely to have a third party win under the right conditions, like with how the Republican Party became a national party after Lincoln was elected as a third party candidate. But ultimately there will always only be two parties with the outdated FPTP voting method. If only George Washington knew about and pushed for a better voting system than FPTP.

Plus we keep using this outdated first-past-the-post voting system in the 21st century.

Agreed! And go register and plan your vote. Make a plan now. Especially in some states where there’s different degrees of voter suppression, you need to take extra steps to make sure you get your vote counted. There’s an army of MAGAts and right wing lawyers trying to stop certain voters, kick them off the voter rolls, or make up rules to keep you from voting. Don’t let them stop you.

Pence wanted to be VP for personal gain, putting up with Weird 34 in the hopes that Pence himself would be Prez someday. Pence probably thought Sleepy DonOLD might choke on a hamburder, get removed from office by the Senate after an impeachment or two, or at the very least grit his teeth and hope for his own shot after Dementia Dork went into the sunset. Pence just wanted to be POTUS, not start an autocracy.

Just Don’t Vance, on the other hand, is on a whole other level of weird submissiveness to Putin’s Puppet.
