It offers the ability to play a lot of your Switch 1 games with much better performance. I’ve been really enjoying TOTK at 4k60. I think that was a draw for a lot of more hardcore Nintendo fans at the systems launch.

Also Donkey Kong is the spiritual successor to Mario Odyssey. If you liked that game you should definitely be into the new DK. I think Nintendo did a terrible job of messaging on that point, though.

That said, lack of content was the main point of the comment I was replying to. However, I think the huge price increase over Switch is equally as important at this time when people have less and less purchasing power.

This right here. The Switch 2 offers nothing compelling the more casual Nintendo fans, and is a huge purchase comparatively.

In ‘24 they announced they’d be releasing the SP campaign after not having an official release target since early 2020.

If I had done that, I would have never gotten the firmware update to enable VRR support on my HDMI 2.1 ports…

More tvs need to support G-Sync and Freesync (like my Hisense) instead of just supporting the HDMI version of VRR (like my Sony…).

Isn’t getting at protected content pretty trivial anyway? At least that’s my impression from how easy it is to find basically anything.

I have a DP to HDMI cable… it still won’t do HDMI 2.1. No 4k120 without DSC… no VRR…

Until you go to your inventory in TOTK and it says “press Y to sort items” and I always press X instead cuz 2 decades of Xbox Controllers.

I’m sorry, but to me this is a Bobby Tables issue. The POS devs need to write some sort of sanity checks on customer provided inputs.

Can’t blame a customer for finding issues in shit software.
