They’re smoking Putin’s dick
Yup, tons of shills and Kremlin information on here. I’ve never told a soul I use it because of that, and no doubt many thousands have visited, seen it, and just left instead of helping it grow.
Not shocking, the combined budget for addressing malicious propaganda and disinformation, from all instances in the entire fediverse, is exactly $0.00
I’d be thrilled when I realized it was an avocado and not cadbury
Absolutely.
The dictator alliance (Kremlin, CCP, Pyongyang, Tehran) are using our open societies and free speech against us. We need to use it against them too.
Fair point. I see that as a potential silver lining in this whole Kremlin disinformation era. At least some people will see it for what it is and learn.
There’s less advertising but more propaganda
Alright there champ, that’s enough beans for you, time for a nap
Other than Brexit, they’re usually encouraging people to vote against their own ability to vote.
The Kremlin tricking people onto voting against their own interests, shocking!
Not sure about Bluesky, but welcome Brazilians!
What if we just accidentally (completely by accident OK??) shoved him off a building instead?
Thank you for your efforts, I have so much respect for the people who are helping to build a healthy fediverse.
Do you have Hexbear and the .ml instances blocked?
Seems like there’s basically no effort to address disinformation. I love the idea of the fediverse, but I’ve never told a single person I use it in well over a year because I’d be embarrassed if they ever visited and saw some of the content that gets upvoted here.
Most people want to block those instances, not access them.
Accurate
The current, complex conflict focused in Ukraine, but extending to Israel, is often framed on social media as “the West” vs X.
I think a much better way of framing it is democracies vs dictators/authoritarians. If you look at who’s supporting who, its oppressive authoritarian regimes (Kremlin, CCP, Pyong Yang, Tehran, Caracas) vs democratic countries (Ukraine, most of Europe, US, Canada, S. Korea, Japan, many others).
India is the world’s largest democracy, but they’re into their second decade of being run by an authoritarian would-be-dictator.
If not for Modi, I suspect they wouldn’t be supporting the Kremlin’s barbaric land grab. Not that they’d send Ukraine any military support since they want to maintain their relationship with Russia.

Yeah, reddit is corporate plastic these days. Fake, cheap, unhealthy.
