To be fair imagine the opinions and beliefs a majority of Americans hold

Liberals treating the “Hatian immigrants eating dogs” thing as a meme and using it as a thing to show how “crazy” Trump is is really rubbing me the wrong way. It might be because I personally know a lot of Hatian immigrants and work with them, but I feel like they’re completely undermining how dangerous the rhetoric is and how many people genuinely unironically believe it and it just makes me sad for my coworkers :/

My friend’s Venezuelan roommate is saying that his family is calling him and telling him Maduro was sending police to indiscriminately murder people last night at protests, and the police murdered some people in their neighborhood. What’re the possibilities this is true? I googled it and found nothing which is surprising because I feel like the media would eat that up
