They were also wise to not have revealed the Switch 2 any earlier, because it would have jeopardized sales of the Switch 1. Enough companies have made this mistake in the past.
Ah, the Osborne effect…

It’s worth noting that this is a new line of ThinkPad, there’s a bunch of existing lines that will all keep the classic look. Though I feel like the name X9 isn’t great, but whatever.
The issue isn’t just a simple oversight. Git includes the file name as part of the tree and commit hash. The hash has security implications. There’s really no way to make the hash support case insensitivity without opening up a multitude of holes there. So there will always be a mismatch, and you can’t just fix it without changing how git works from the ground up.
Mediatek has been making phone SoCs since forever now, they have two lines - Helios and Dimensity. They’re used in many phones, usually on the lower end. Even Samsung uses them. Both lines have abysmal custom rom support compared to Snapdragon phones, so I don’t think you can hope for much there.

We did it, reddit NYPD!
Oh yeah, it was Tuesday yesterday.
Please tell me, when it says “Transportation” on that chart, what exactly do you think is being transported, and where?
smallest part of the problem
This is what I’m trying to get across to you here. You’ve posted the same notion multiple times in this thread. The consumer share isn’t the smallest part, it’s most of it. All the oil we extract serves to make products, transport products, sell products to the consumer - you. It’s not being being burnt for fun.
When you engage in consumption, any amount of it, you’re pulling a string connected to a million other strings that mostly end up in an oil well one way or another. The luxury you speak of is in that consumption, not the lack of it.
And if you think otherwise, compare your lifestyle, your lifelong level of comfort to that of someone who spent their whole life living in a hut in Mali, whose lifelong emissions equal a few months worth of yours. Now try to tell that person that you’re not responsible for the gas you burn, it’s the fault of those that provided you with the option to do it. It’s insulting.
If the providers are to blame for all emissions and the consumers are free of responsibility, then all consumption is equal. If Exxon is the responsible party, then the guy buying the gas guzzler to stick it to the libs is the same as the guy driving a hybrid, as neither is to blame for their emissions.
I understand choosing comfort over living in a cave or dying, obviously, but that doesn’t mean we’re free of any and all blame. Any time a new climate report comes and it’s worse than the one before I understand that my existence and choice of comfort played a part in it . I don’t just go “oh that Exxon, smh” and carry on guilt free.
Those 100 companies are fuel producers making fuel that everyone else burns. By that metric my gas company is responsible for 100% of my gas-based greenhouse emissions.
I hate how often that study gets misused.
Hyperconvergence or hypervisor.
You realise that if that were to be “fixed”, you wouldn’t end up paying the low price, Brazil would end up paying the high price? One they can’t afford because they make as much in a month as you do in a week, or worse.
They’re not valid, they’re excuses which are provably wrong. Samsung will currently sell you a phone with a jack which is ip68 waterproof, has a milspec durability rating and it costs a whopping €250. So clearly the jack is not a design limitation in any of those ways.
Sadly, I reckon about 2/3 of Android phones no longer have a jack, or close to 100% of flagship models.
Well the most annoying issue is that BT headphones work perfectly well with a phone or laptop that has the jack, it’s not an either/or situation. So they were only removed to make you have to spend $200. The arguments about cost, durability or waterproofing are all nonsense.
I’m only willing to buy a phone that has the jack, it reduces the selection, but I’m not willing to compromise on that. And someone gifted me some airpods recently (pro 2). Tried them out and they were ok I guess, but they also had too many downsides, so they sit on a shelf now. It’s not a good enough alternative for me.

That’s just embarrassing.
You should probably use a double slash in that non-equality sign as a single slash will be seen as an escape character by some parsers and then not rendered. In my client it just shows two equal signs, i.e. the opposite of what you wanted to convey.
As they point out at the end, this wasn’t about the old control panel, but the new settings panel. It’s all brand new code.
