Even if the files contain irrefutable proof that Trump trafficked and raped children with Epstein, Johnson and the GOP know that his base will either dismiss it as ‘fake news’, AI or otherwise convince themselves that Trump raped kids because the Democrats used their mind control ray to set him up.

I suspect the real reason they want to keep it under wraps is to protect their billionaire donors who will be named in the files.

The solution is simple. All ISPs in western aligned countries need to blackhole any routes originating from Russian ASNs, cancel visas for Russian citizens in their countries and send them back home. It has been blindingly obvious for years now that Russia is using various means to conduct sabotage against any country supporting Ukraine, as far as they’re concerned they are already at war with us.

If we don’t want full scale war to happen then we need to isolate Russia completely.

Xi will invade Taiwan when the opportunity comes up, when the US/West is distracted elsewhere with another war. Trump is trying to start one with Venezuela and Columbia as we speak, and Russia is tiptoeing the line trying to see how far they can push NATO with drone incursions, sabotage etc before Europe finally bites back. It seems like the exact opposite is true here, Xi will attack Taiwan while Trump is in office.

Until Citizens United is overturned and campaign finance is heavily restricted by Congress, another Democrat administration will simply ratchet themselves further to the right and serve the same oligarchs the Republicans do. Very little will change to improve the lives of ordinary people, and once again the Republicans will use that to take full control in the following cycle.

They don’t need any additional motivation at this point, generations of mainland Chinese have been brainwashed into believing that Taiwan is their land, despite that not being the case for centuries.

All they need is an opportunity to open up, where western militaries are occupied elsewhere, such as Europe after a Russian attack on NATO, the US gets pulled in to the Middle East again or the South American war crimes that Trump is doing becomes a much larger war. As soon as they think nobody will come to Taiwan’s aid they will invade.

At this point there is no voting your way back to normal anymore. As others have pointed out, the Democrats will ratchet their way further to the right in order to take office again, and the surveillance state will continue to expand under their authority (albeit somewhat less rapidly)

The lower classes must wake up to this reality and take meaningful steps to remove the ownership class from power once and for all. Holding signs and chanting in a public square during a weekend won’t be enough, the rich and powerful must be in fear of losing their wealth and their lives.
