It kinda is though. Iirc it received an interrupt it shouldn’t have received and doesn’t know how to resolve. It is not supposed to ignore it, but then the only other option is crashing at this point. Basically it continues in a dazed and confused state.
Of course the message could be clearer, but at least it also makes the message easily searchable.
DS5 is probably the best you can choose. The build quality is good and they work fine with Linux via Bluetooth. Also it is not some exotic choice and is widely supported.
The Xbox controllers are also working fine, but they are lacking the gyro and touchpad. Also the build quality wasn’t great when I used one the last time (A button not registering every press and wonky d-pad). They are a bit cheaper, but also much worse imo.
I updated my post with my own results. tldr: it doesn’t work at all
Does this fix the RTX 20XX (Super) crashes in cyberpunk 2077? Did anyone test it?
Edit: Now that I had some time I tested the beta driver on Arch Linux using an RTX 2080 Super and I am only getting a black screen or it crashes immediately depending on the flags I use. So the beta driver made it worse than before and it is still unplayable.
I am starting to believe it just affects the 2000 series of cards then although some of the driver bugs causing crashes should affect all modern Nvidia cards equally.
I am confused why that’s the case though.
I looked through protondb again and it looks like all people using 20XX cards cannot play the game. While it looks fine for 30XX with some minor tweaks. For older cards it is a mixed bag, but there are just very few reports overall.
Looks like it really is just turing cards affected then. Bummer!
Thank you for testing. Seemingly it is just the 20XX cards affected then. I just checked the other reports again and they are also using turing cards. Bummer!
What are you talking about? This is about using a mouse and keyboard with a docked Steam Deck.
Create a new character, select corporate start and once the other person enters the room the game crashes just for the easiest 100% reproducible crash. Other people have the same problems and even if they get past that (different game start) it still frequently crashes due to Nvidia driver bugs as far as I understand it.
If it works so well for you what’s your setup? I heard some older Nvidia cards might work better.
It is just unfortunate that it does not run on Nvidia hardware. The benchmark runs if you disable all RTX features, but it crashes on a new game before you even have full control of the character.
Looking at protondb it looks like all people with Nvidia have issues since the 2.0 update. I hope there will be some fix soon. I don’t want to replace the GPU yet it would be a waste (2080 Super).
For now I am playing it on my Steam Deck instead.
Weird. I was just expecting some odd key combination not that it isn’t implemented at all.
I guess I have to keep a controller near to access the menu then as a workaround.
Over 50% of all adults are overweight here.
Every single meal has some form of pasta, potato or rice as a side unless you pick a salad and even then you get some complementary white bread when you eat out.
I always get weird looks when I am asking for more salad or vegetables and no frites.
Just check the menu of any random restaurant around you and look for any low carb option which is not a salad. It is really difficult where I live unless it is a tapas bar.
Ohh, that’s an interesting take! I guess for large parts of Asia it is a bit different. It is a problem in north America as far as I can tell and in Europe where I am from.
You are right with everything you say.
Still the consumption of carbs is too normalized. Many people believe that you should have carbs with every meal which is insane. Just look at any restaurant food, fast food and everywhere. Unless you are dieting you for sure don’t have to avoid carbs, but don’t seek them out either.
I believe this is the single biggest reason for the obesity problem. Most meals really shouldn’t have any added carbs, yet they do.
It depends on the meaning of amount. By volume no, you can continue to eat like always if you adjust the food itself.
Technically yes, it is a food restriction, but in the end it is especially a calorie restriction which is the important part.
You are absolutely correct though.
That’s a tough one. Proteins are a much more useful source of energy and nutrients here. There are limits though and then it doesn’t really matter how you get your calories.
So obviously carbs are cheap food and pack a lot of calories which might be beneficial in this scenario.
You are right. I can’t argue with that, but I would be careful with this as general advice.
In the end carbs are just sugars of different complexity. For example add some saliva to starch and you got glucose. Hence white bread, pasta and even potatoes are really bad for your blood sugar.
You don’t have to avoid them, but carbs are not necessarily part of a healthy and balanced diet. Their only benefit is that they are cheap sources of energy. If you don’t eat carbs the body has to use fat to metabolize sugar which works just as well.
It is useful to avoid carbs for a diet, because you can remove a lot of calories from any meal by replacing them with mostly vegetables without reducing the portion size at all. Also it helps with cravings a lot.
