I’m just saying that cutting USAID means DOGE did kill people and probably will for decades to come. It also sucks that those social programs were used to reinforce empire.

If empire dismantling its own programs means people in the global periphery will get killed it’s kind of difficult to support it.

Same with Australia belonging to “the west” when it’s basically right below Southeast Asia.

I think we’re better off using “global periphery” to mean poor countries outside the imperial core. It’s also an established term already.
