Good on her doing charity work
It might just be your vote that flips a city or county
It’s always your vote that flipped the seat; everyone who voted after you just showed up as backup.
“Well you’re stupid.”
You mean the senile senior, Dementia Don? 34 times convicted felon and racist rapist?
Macron is the president and head of state. He’s elected directly by the citizens of France.
Attal is (was) the prime minister and head of government. He’s elected by the members of parliament. He’s appointed by the president but needs majority support in parliament.
“To form a government” usually means that someone is tasked by the head of state (president or king) to come up with a group of people (cabinet) that has majority support in the house(s) of parliament. That’s easy for Starmer when Labour has a majority. In other countries like the Netherlands, Germany, or Italy, that usually requires a coalition.
That will now also be the case in France.
As someone who’s never heard of the place: Ottawa county honestly sounds like a shit place to live.
Then you and many you knew should’ve been brought up with better manners.
I’d say this is a great step forward. However much I’d like it, there’s no way people will just stop eating meat overnight. Anything that ends up hurting fewer animals for human consumption is a welcome change — whether it is lab-grown meat or enriched vegetable proteins.
I’m well aware of it being a broader ideology, and it’s one I support and strive to adhere to. That being said, one’s diet can also be vegan.
Perhaps “cheating” was not the right word to use, but people can be quite complex. My conviction not to consume animal products occasionally loses out to other considerations. That doesn’t mean I consider myself to be a flexitarian.
I try to cut everyone, myself included, some slack. The “you’re not a true vegan if XYZ” does more harm than good in furthering the cause. When looking at vegan communities, this one included, I feel like we can achieve more if we cut down on the holier-than-thou attitude.
I’ve been in this position a fair few times. I tend to just eat it, even if there’s meat in there. Otherwise the food will just be thrown out and then my impact on the environment is even larger.
I suppose it does help that I only adhere to my vegan diet about 95% of the time. When I already occasionally cheat on my own account, it’s not as big of a deal when it happens on someone else’s account.
Usually I do complain about it, however. And/or leave it in a review. Mistakes happen, I’m usually more concerned by how they handle the mistake.
Call me a cynic, but this also greatly reduces the bargaining power of the voice actor. If he’s not THE voice or Mario, it’s far easier to replace him than it was with Martinet.
Celebrated!
It doesn’t help, but there are a few factors that are more limiting right now. Labour shortage is one, as are nitrogen emissions. A lot of developers also find the current building costs too high.
There are plenty of plots that can be built on, with all of the paperwork good to go.
Lots of love for Bitwarden in this thread; I’d also like to pitch in with 1Password. It’s got a great UX and I even got my mom on board.
Used to use Lastpass since ~2013; really glad I switched last year. Lastpass has turned to absolute shit.
One good thing to come out of Reddit’s demise is that I hadn’t read her name in about three weeks.

I think pitching in a dollar every year is preferable. Heck, I even pay much more to Youtube to get rid of advertisements. But it does pose a significant threshold for new users.
A hybrid model doesn’t sound too bad to me, where you can pay for an ad free server.
In Europe, this is hardly a problem. I’ve recently been on the road more in the US, and it sucks. But I think it’s more so due to cars being ridiculously big and their lamps being way off the ground.
