There are ferries.

Canada has a highway that goes between the most easterly and westerly points of the country. If you drove from end to end, stopping only for gas and drive through meals, it would take you about a week.

Where is that? We had a metric fuckton of snow and cold last winter in Manshitoba. I’m not denying climate change, just saying that last winter was painfully typical.

Actually, it’s pretty close to a single order of magnitude; $80b on education vs. $877b military. Not that it detracts from the point, though, nearly a trillion dollars is a metric shit-ton of money.

For reference, $80b/year is about an order of magnitude less than what the US spends on the military. Suddenly a lot of the ways America … is… kind of makes sense.
