I’ve run the Urzaplex in a competitive red pauper deck, and the only issue I see is that you don’t have any low cost creatures to hide behind while you get all three Urzas. I found that adding a few creatures with an X cost or another mana-variable cost helped out as you can cast them cheap as 1/1s if you get stuck, or as 10/10s if you draw them late. These also make great hate magnets.

This is true, but it’s one of the ways MS weasels it’s way in. If you’re using teams with clients, then they likely have Outlook as their scheduling app, so you have to use it too, since it only works with itself. It’s a backdoor to get you into their trap and get more and more of your data tied up and expensive to migrate.

There are very few reasons why anyone should be using Windows in a professional setting anymore. Any company that does so is taking a huge security risk with company data. I’m sure there are lots of places that do it, but this is due to typical corporate laziness and ignorance.

At this point, any programs that won’t work in Wine either have a component that cannot be run in Linux (kernel level anti-cheat for example) or has a DRM/execution stack that enforces Windows use (ie Abobe.) Most of my Windows emulation is gaming, and I’ve managed to get Fitgirl installers and even cracks/updates to run through Wine and Proton. My opinion only: At this point any program that won’t run on Linux is intentional, either by design, or by neglect.

You don’t even need to use the command line in Mint. There are at least 3 decent gui package managers that I can think of if the top of my head.

Agreed. Mint is a very ‘new Linux user’ friendly distro, and has everything you really need. I’ve got some recent converts from Windows and even the gamers I’ve set up are happy with it.

Which is why I moved to Debian/Ubuntu based and haven’t looked back. But functionally, nearly every distro has a different strength and purpose, so go with whatever piques your interest.

I’m a recent convert from Mint Cinnamon to Kubuntu. I would definitely recommend it for being user friendly.

Solaar is great and part of my basic load out on any on my machines.

Piper I had some luck with for button remaps, but I stopped using it when I figured out how to do what I needed in Steam. I realize that might not address your needs tho.
