Flash storage has gotten dirt cheap. 64GB is just insulting. Hell, I wouldn’t even accept 128GB nowadays, it probably only costs manufacturers a few dollars to double that. But of course they upcharge us $100.

Ah yes, DNS adblocking has its uses, but it’s a lot less versatile than an adblocker in your browser. Your point is valid, though. If the website is going to fight your adblocker, maybe just don’t go to that website.
The rule is pretty clear. This is not a community for self-promotion. If you want to do that, find a community that allows it.
EDIT: Twitter-like social networks seem like a more appropriate place for this sort of self-promotion. Like Mastodon or Bluesky.

The game has been free for 16 years. This is the paid version to support the devs, literally because they’re getting old and they have medical bills to pay.
Fair, I got about halfway through before I got bored.
Wow he still uses the same intro song and everything
Fair, I think what I’m trying to say is that I wouldn’t expect Joe Rogan’s show to be as immediately offensive to those outside of America, who are missing the context of all the internal conflicts we have here.
I don’t think he’s QAnon. I don’t think he believes MOST of the nutjobs that he lets on his show, or even cares what they believe. But he lets a bunch of QAnon people on his show, so a bunch of QAnon people listen to him. And he keeps letting weirdos on his show because that’s what his listeners want.
I would agree that the context is entirely different in Asia, his show is mostly harmful to Americans and wouldn’t affect other countries much.
Again, laptops with that chipset kind of already exist. Steam Deck uses a custom AMD APU, but it’s really not that special. The point of the customization is to make it work well in that handheld form factor. If you’re putting it in a laptop you might as well just use a more common (and more powerful) laptop chipset because you have more space.
But there are already a hundred laptops with similar specs that will run Linux… There’s not much reason for Valve to release a laptop.
There are plenty of PC laptops with drives that aren’t easy to upgrade, it ain’t just MacBooks anymore.
LOL that’s not a bad way of explaining it. My reasoning is that I like CloudFlare, so I’ll default to them, but if CF goes down I want DNS to continue working. I figure Google is one of the servers that’s LEAST likely to go down.
I do CloudFlare first and Google as backup.
I thought Facebook lite didn’t include messenger features? If they’re bundling it all into one lite app, I’d actually say that’s a GOOD thing.
Hmmm it’s using a spoiler tag to hide the summary until you click. Spoiler tags work for me on desktop, but they don’t seem to work in Lemmy apps like Connect or Liftoff. It does work in Jerboa, however.
Yes! I love that it hides the summary now until you click to expand. That way it doesn’t needlessly take up space unless you want it to.
I hope you’ll find an easier way to do it, but if it was me in your shoes, I’d probably drive out to them. You driving the U-Haul with them driving your car home sounds like a good idea. It’s the safest option to make sure they don’t run into even MORE trouble.
