Damn. If I had known about the bugs going there I would have just taken that

I’ve been using an Online map to navigate. It’s how I got to Gnisis. It was a fun experience, even if I did miss fast travel.
when I was younger I could totally see myself thinking a moon meant a whole moon cycle.

I’d say it’s about the same as Daggerfall, at least in my opinion. The controls though I feel were a lot better communicated

The magic was what made me initially interested. I hear people talking about how utterly broken it is with very little restraints and it made me want to try it

Definitely enjoyed that relic. I stopped and checked the date and had to do a quick check because I was thinking “Oh. Six years ago? That was like what, 2012? 2013?”. Nope. 2020. I feel ancient

I might try that after starting over then (or see if there’s a console command to let me redo the class selection so i don’t have to start over)

I’m glad you’re doing better! I notice it’s a reoccurring theme for people to go through stuff like that with MMOs.
My best friend went through the same thing with ESO and FFXIV because he felt alone and wanted to connect with people. He had spent roughly 400$ on FFXIV subscriptions alone until he got better, so I know how rough it can be.
But yeah, I have mixed feelings on ESO, and FFXIV while we’re on the subject. I had fun, but damn with how much money they try to siphon from the player it makes me not want to touch them and kind of cheapens the experience for me

Stamina is the green bar, right? I had actually read about that after doing a surface level reading into the combat, I’m just not really sure how to incorporate that into the combat if it makes sense, as I believe it drops with attacks.
I’ll try getting my weapon skills up to help though, and maybe the mod too lmao.

The wait for Alan Wake I to II was so painfully long, but so god damn worth it. I feel like I remember seeing Alan Wake III on their near plans though. So hopefully soon

Firebreak was fun and really solid, definitely lacking a lot of content though. I think Remedy’s scale and (I believe) It being handled by a sister studio they setup definitely provided a hurdle.
Once i saw everything there is to see, there’s not a lot keeping me coming back except when i get an itch for the gameplay loop again. I got maybe 100 hours out of it playing with friends. and even then, thats just me.
Yeah. I think you have explained it far better than I have. I believe he has a mental dependency to it.
I hope he’s able to find something to. We’ve tried to help him but he’s made it clear he doesn’t want or think he needs help. So the best I can do is be supportive towards his mental health and hope he realizes he needs help
Is Kratom an opioid? I’ve never had any plans to even consider it, but I had no idea it was one. Those issues you described though make a lot of sense on how he got hooked. He’s never had good self control and it’s easily available where I am
I’m not really sure how to put it into words. I think the words I’m looking for are a dependence vs. an addiction.
Dependence is like withdrawals and stuff from the chemical, while addiction is his brain is hooked on the effect that comes from taking it
My thought was Kratom. My dad takes it to help his depression, lately though I think it’s turned into an addiction. I think it’s more of a personal addiction though. Like getting addicted to the effect of pills rather than the pill itself

With the game’s narrative on being a meta commentary on the creative process given physical form sometimes, the idea of trading places feels highly appropriate. I love all the little layers this game has going on with its narrative. It feels like you can dissect at many different levels

I had noticed that too with the lines. There’s so many little tiny details in the game. It really feels like they paid attention to every corner of the game.

What matters is you’re enjoying yourself. But yeah, remedy always knocks it out of the ball park, especially in story. They’re one of my favorite studios for that alone

That’s how I first played it. It… wasn’t a great experience. It’s tolerable if you adjust the graphics right but it wasn’t pretty and it still got pretty choppy in Cauldron Lake specifically

It’s one of my favorites of all time. I just wish it was on Steam for easier access
The water really is pretty. It’s got the same quality that makes me love Ocarina of Time’s Water.
I can get home people love the combat, even if it’s not for me, all that depth and RPG like qualities makes it interesting
