Hong Kong maybe, but Tibet is no more China than Cuba is part of the US. They’re two distinct cultures with different histories. You might as well say Korea is China, Vietnam is China.
capable of experiencing sensation/situation
Therein lies the problem. You can’t prove that it’s experiencing anything, you can’t even prove other humans are experiencing anything. From my point of view, I may be the only sentient thing in the universe. I just take it on faith that I’m not.

I’ve done this. Hilariously frustrating when it starts doubling down on hallucinations.
Laying down in front of the tractor is nonviolent resistance but is treated by centrists and liberals as out of line anyways (i.e. blocking highways, throwing soup at paintings behind glass)

It’s because the product of their labor is taken from them and they are worked like animals.

I’ve gotten looks for saying this, but I don’t think I will ever forgive Trump voters for what they’ve done. I guess that first they would need to sincerely apologize, which I don’t think will ever happen either.

It’s still their home, or do you want to kick them out as well?

From the little I read, it’s bankrupt because people have boycotted it since the name change, and now Trump is saying that the only way to save it is to change the name so he can do a fundraiser (makes no sense). Just a complete load of shit, total scam, nothing more.

Both of your stories are interesting but are only anecdotes at the end of the day. What’s important is that this is banning a religious practice because you dislike or don’t agree with it. That’s a road we shouldn’t go down. We have countless examples throughout history and in our present day of heavy handed approaches to enforcing cultural and religious unity, and most people who are not authoritarians agree that this is a bad thing to do.
Aw man, the wok racing guy is an asshole? Schade.

This law also oppresses freedom of expression and it will only make muslims more resentful and resistant to integration.
We quirked too close to the chungus.

Oh cool, I see you’re arguing just to argue. Bye.
Par for the course for Newsweek.
