  • MGSV’s secret event ending is really fuckin’ cool and adjacent to the series’ overarching politics. i’ll spoil tag it but note it doesn’t weigh in on the main plot all that much

    spoiler

you’re able to break in to each other’s bases as part of the multiplayer component and steal resources and staff, but also nukes. should the community come together and focus on stealing and disarming every single nuke from everyone else, aka the total amount of nukes hit zero, you unlock the nuclear disarmament event where your efforts of forcibly removing nukes from the world is celebrated. iirc this has never been triggered naturally due to people hoarding nukes

  • I think that just further highlights the disparity between media and the real world - imo a separate issue libs also struggle with. When you’re raised on as much media content as a lot of westerners are, it leaves you alienated about what life is actually like.

I motion towards white collar workers gathering around the water cooler to discuss the latest shows, while blue collar workers like, actually hang out and drink after work. One of these groups is touching grass way more than the other.

  • I wish people/libs could see how self evidently different life in the ruling class is compared to the lives of most of humanity, and how that will clearly lead to radically different behaviors and ideals.

Even if you don’t want to acknowledge the systems of exploitation that billionaires require to exist, you have to inherently understand that billionaires have different, inaccessible life experiences, they’re incapable of understanding what most of humanity understands of day-to-day life, socialization, civic responsibility, etc.

If good billionaires did exist, their antisocial tendencies would make them less compatible with society than most violent criminals.
